Taiwan Closed Fund (NYSE: TWN) is a closed-end investment fund managed by Nomura Asset Management U.S.A. Inc. The fund focuses on equity securities listed in Taiwan and constructs its portfolio from companies across a range of sectors. Its investment process uses fundamental analysis and considers business growth prospects, competitive position, technology, research and development, productivity, labor and raw material costs, margins, returns on investment, capital resources, regulation, and management quality. The portfolio is measured against the TAIEX Total Return Index. Formed in 1986 and domiciled in the United States, the fund is listed on the New York Stock Exchange as a common stock security representing a closed-end fund.
