Transparency and Data Quality
PriceToWorth combines information from multiple established market and financial data providers with company disclosures and internal analytical review. This multi-source process is intended to improve coverage, identify inconsistencies and present financial information in a consistent research format.
Types of data used
- Market prices, trading information and security identifiers.
- Income-statement, balance-sheet and cash-flow data.
- Shares outstanding, public float and capital-structure information.
- Dividend records and scheduled corporate events.
- Analyst estimates, targets and recommendation data where available.
- Company profiles, sector and industry classifications.
- Derived valuation, quality, risk and technical indicators.
Verification and review
Key data is compared across providers and, where appropriate, against company reports, regulatory filings and official disclosures. Company descriptions are written or reviewed by the PriceToWorth team. Unusual results and identity changes are flagged for manual attention, and the team maintains an administrative review record for cases that cannot be resolved automatically.
Corporate actions such as stock splits, ticker changes, exchange transfers, mergers and security reorganizations can temporarily create differences between sources. When a discrepancy is confirmed, affected records and derived values are corrected through the site’s data-quality process.
Update timing
Fair value estimates and related stock data are generally updated after regular market sessions when new data becomes available. Timing can vary by exchange, security, metric and provider. Market prices may be delayed, often by approximately 15 minutes, and PriceToWorth is intended for research rather than trade execution.
Derived metrics
Some values shown on PriceToWorth are calculated or classified from source data. These include valuation gaps, fair value ratings, financial-health interpretations and other ratios or research labels. Derived values inherit the limitations of their inputs and may change when a provider revises historical data, a company files amended information or the platform’s quality review identifies a necessary correction.
Unavailable and not meaningful values
A dash, “Not available” or “NM” should not be read as zero. “Not available” generally means that suitable data was not present in the current dataset. “NM” means that the calculation is not meaningful under the available inputs or financial conditions. PriceToWorth may suppress or exclude an invalid valuation model rather than allow it to distort the primary estimate.
Corrections
Users, companies and data professionals can report a suspected error through Contact Us or support@pricetoworth.com. Please include the company name, ticker, exchange, affected field and a link to supporting documentation when possible. Reports are reviewed before a correction is published.
