Its automotive portfolio includes climate comfort systems such as seat heaters, blowers, thermoelectric devices, steering wheel heaters, and related electronic control units, as well as pneumatic lumbar and massage comfort solutions, cable technology, battery performance solutions, valve systems, and electronic and software systems. In its medical business, Gentherm provides patient temperature management systems under the Blanketrol and Astotherm brands for use in intensive care, surgical procedures, and other warming and cooling applications. The company serves light vehicle original equipment manufacturers, tier 1 suppliers, and the medical industry. Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Northville, Michigan, Gentherm was previously known as Amerigon Incorporated before adopting its current name in 2012.
