Main Street Capital Corporation (MAIN)

Main Street Capital Corporation (NYSE: MAIN) is a closed-end fund organized as a business development company and small business investment company. Through its listed common stock, the fund focuses on direct and indirect investments in lower middle market and middle market businesses, using both equity and debt structures. Its activities include private equity capital, senior secured and subordinated lending, recapitalizations, growth financing, refinancing, and financing for acquisitions and management buyouts. Main Street also makes equity co-investments and seeks to provide flexible financing arrangements for entrepreneurs, business owners, and management teams. The company was founded in 2007 and is based in Houston, Texas, with additional offices in Chicago and Chojnów, Poland.
