Materion Corporation is a listed common equity on the NYSE. Through its subsidiaries, the company develops and manufactures advanced engineered materials for customers in the United States and internationally, with operations spanning Asia and Europe. Its business is organized into four segments: Performance Materials, Electronic Materials, Precision Optics, and Other. Materion supplies beryllium and non-beryllium alloy systems, custom metal solutions, precision strip and rod products, alloyed metals, beryllium products, and beryllium hydroxide. It also produces microelectronics packaging, precious and non-precious metal products, thin-film coatings, optical filters, and specialty chemicals and powders. The company serves semiconductor, industrial, aerospace and defense, automotive, energy, consumer electronics, and life sciences markets. Formerly known as Brush Engineered Materials Inc., the company adopted the Materion Corporation name in March 2011 and is headquartered in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.
