Its activities are organized into three segments: Wealth Management, Investment Management, and Wholesale. Wealth Management focuses on investment consultation, while Investment Management handles investment management services, investment solutions, investment trusts, discretionary mandates, and related fund and vehicle management. The Wholesale segment covers sales and trading in debt and equity securities, foreign exchange contracts, and derivatives, as well as investment banking services such as underwriting, distribution, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory. The company was incorporated in 1925 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
