Oshkosh Corporation is a U.S.-based industrial company that designs and manufactures purpose-built vehicles and equipment for customers around the world. Its common stock is listed on the NYSE under the symbol OSK. The company operates through three segments: Access, Vocational, and Transport.
The Access segment produces aerial work platforms and telehandlers used in construction, industrial, and maintenance settings, along with towing and recovery equipment and related financing and leasing services. The Transport segment focuses on tactical wheeled vehicles and related support for defense applications. The Vocational segment supplies fire apparatus, rescue and emergency vehicles, aircraft rescue and firefighting equipment, airport ground support equipment, refuse and recycling collection vehicles, truck-mounted cranes, and other specialty vehicles and technologies.
Oshkosh sells its products through direct sales representatives, dealers, and distributors. Founded in 1915 and headquartered in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the company was formerly known as Oshkosh Truck Corporation.
