STAAR Surgical Company is a healthcare equipment and supplies company listed on NASDAQ as common stock. Through its subsidiaries, the company develops, manufactures, and markets phakic implantable lenses for the eye, along with accessory delivery systems used to place the lenses. Its Implantable Collamer Lens portfolio includes EVO ICL, EVO+ ICL, EVO Visian ICL, and EVO Viva ICL, which are used in refractive surgery for conditions such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia. STAAR Surgical serves ophthalmic surgeons, vision and surgical centers, hospitals, government facilities, distributors, and other eye care professionals. The company sells directly in markets including Japan, the United States, Germany, Spain, Singapore, Canada, and the United Kingdom, and also works with representatives and independent distributors in China, Korea, India, France, Benelux, Italy, and other international markets. Incorporated in 1982, STAAR Surgical is headquartered in Lake Forest, California.
