Valhi, Inc. is a U.S.-based company listed on the NYSE under the ticker VHI. Through its subsidiaries, the company operates in chemicals, component products, and real estate management and development across Europe, North America, the Asia Pacific region, and other international markets. Its chemicals business produces and sells titanium dioxide pigments, or TiO2, which are used in products made by paint, plastics, paper, fiber, and ceramics manufacturers, as well as in decorative laminate applications. The component products segment makes cabinet locks and related locking mechanisms for a range of security and storage applications, and also supplies marine hardware and accessories for performance and ski/wakeboard boats. In real estate, Valhi provides utility services to industrial customers, owns properties, and develops land for commercial, industrial, and residential use. The company, incorporated in 1932 and headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is a subsidiary of Dixie Rice Agricultural L.L.C.
