Its activities center on two key graphite assets in Alabama: the Kellyton Graphite plant near Kellyton and the Coosa Graphite project, which spans about 41,965 acres in east-central Alabama near the western edge of Coosa County. The company was previously named Uranium Resources, Inc. and adopted its current name in August 2017. Incorporated in 1977, Westwater Resources is headquartered in Centennial, Colorado, and its common stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker WWR.
