CEMIG, or Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais, is a Brazil-based utility group with an ADR listed on the NYSE under the ticker CIG. The depositary receipt represents common stock in the company, which was incorporated in 1952 and is headquartered in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Through its subsidiaries, CEMIG is active in electricity generation, transmission, distribution, and energy sales in Brazil. Its generation portfolio includes hydroelectric, wind, and photovoltaic assets, alongside extensive distribution and transmission networks. As of December 31, 2024, the company operated 36 hydro plants with 4,449.0 MW of capacity, two wind farms with 70.8 MW, and 10 photovoltaic power stations with 158.99 MW, in addition to 357,044 miles of distribution lines and 4,754 miles of transmission lines.

Beyond power operations, the group also participates in gas acquisition, transport, and distribution, as well as energy trading, transmission project construction and maintenance, solar plant installation and rental, and other energy-related services.
