Tengion Inc (TNGNQ)
Tengion Inc. was a biotechnology company focused on regenerative medicine and the development of neo-organs and related products designed to repair, regenerate, or replace damaged tissue and organs. Its pipeline included Neo-Kidney Augment, intended to help delay dialysis in patients with advanced chronic kidney disease, and Neo-Urinary Conduit, which was being studied in a Phase I clinical trial for use after bladder removal surgery. The company also had a licensing agreement with Children’s Medical Center Corporation covering certain tissue engineering patent and intellectual property rights. Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Tengion later filed for Chapter 7 liquidation in December 2014.
