BlackRock Credit Allocation Income Trust (NYSE: BTZ) is a closed-end investment fund organized as a common stock listing on the NYSE. The fund is managed by BlackRock, Inc. and is co-managed by BlackRock Advisors, LLC and BlackRock (Singapore) Limited. It focuses on global fixed income markets and, for the bond allocation, generally targets securities with an average credit quality around BBB, as rated by Standard & Poor’s. Its portfolio may include investment-grade corporate bonds, high-yield bonds, bank loans, preferred securities, convertible bonds, and derivatives. The fund was established on December 27, 2006, is domiciled in the United States, and was previously known as BlackRock Preferred & Equity Advantage Trust.
