Managed by BlackRock Advisors, LLC and launched by BlackRock, Inc., the fund invests primarily in U.S. public equities, with a focus on dividend-paying stocks across different market capitalizations and sectors. In addition to direct equity exposure, it may use derivatives, including option-writing strategies, as part of its portfolio approach. The fund measures its results against the Russell 1000 Value Index. It was established on August 31, 2005 and is domiciled in the United States. The trust was previously known as BlackRock Enhanced Dividend Achievers TM Trust.
