Its product portfolio includes CytoSorb, an extracorporeal blood purification cartridge used in settings involving severe inflammation, organ failure, cardiothoracic surgery, sepsis, and related complications; DrugSorb-ATR, an antithrombotic removal system; VetResQ, a blood purification adsorber for veterinary applications; PuriFi, an advanced hemoperfusion pump; and ECOS-300CY, an ex vivo organ perfusion system. Cytosorbents also develops HemoDefend-BGA, a platform designed to reduce anti-A and anti-B antibodies in plasma and whole blood. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey, the company was previously known as MedaSorb Technologies Corporation before adopting its current name in 2010.
