Through its investment platform, the company makes direct and fund investments, with an emphasis on flexible financing solutions that are primarily debt-based and, to a lesser extent, minority equity positions. Its activity centers on companies across a wide range of industries, including business services, healthcare, consumer products, aerospace and defense, transportation and logistics, construction, manufacturing, and specialty chemicals.
The firm targets situations such as recapitalizations, refinancings, buyouts, acquisition financings, ownership transitions, growth capital needs, independent sponsor transactions, ESOP-related financings, and shareholder liquidity events. It does not focus on startups or operational turnarounds. OFS Capital also invests using instruments such as senior secured loans, unitranche loans, first- and second-lien loans, subordinated and mezzanine debt, warrants, preferred equity, and common equity securities, and it may co-invest with partners in selected opportunities.
