Managed by Legg Mason Partners Fund Advisor, LLC and co-managed by Western Asset Management Company, the fund seeks exposure to intermediate- and long-term municipal obligations issued by state and local governments, including U.S. territories, political subdivisions, agencies, and public authorities. Its portfolio is designed to concentrate on investment-grade securities within one of the four highest rating categories assigned by a nationally recognized statistical rating organization. The fund previously operated under the name Municipal High Income Fund Inc., was formed in 1988, and is domiciled in the United States.
