General Motors Company is an automotive manufacturer whose common stock is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol GM. The company designs, assembles, and sells trucks, crossovers, cars, and automotive parts across global markets. Its operations are organized into GM North America, GM International, and GM Financial. GM markets vehicles under brands including Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Baojun, and Wuling, and reaches customers through retail dealers, distributors, and fleet accounts such as rental car firms, commercial fleets, leasing companies, and government buyers. The company also provides after-sales support through its dealer network, including maintenance, minor repairs, collision repairs, accessories, and extended service warranties. In addition, GM offers automotive financing and software-enabled services and subscriptions. Founded in 1908, General Motors is based in Detroit, Michigan.
