Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: KTOS) is a San Diego, California-based technology company focused on defense, national security, and selected commercial markets. Founded in 1994 and previously known as Wireless Facilities, Inc., the company changed its name in August 1999. Kratos operates through two segments, Kratos Government Solutions and Unmanned Systems. Its portfolio includes virtualized ground systems for satellites and space vehicles, command-and-control and tracking software, unmanned aerial drone systems, hypersonic vehicles, rocket and propulsion systems, and microwave electronic products used in missile, radar, space, satellite, and missile defense applications. The company also develops counter-unmanned aircraft systems, directed energy systems, communications technologies, and virtual and augmented reality training tools. Kratos serves U.S. national security agencies, the Department of Defense, intelligence and classified agencies, international government customers, and domestic and international commercial clients.
