In its commercial segment, Rithm Property Trust originates, acquires, and manages commercial mortgage-backed securities, commercial real property, commercial mortgage loans, and other CRE-related investments. The trust operates in several U.S. states, including California, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Illinois, Georgia, Texas, and North Carolina, and also has international operations. Formerly known as Great Ajax Corp., the company adopted its current name in December 2024. It was incorporated in 2014 and has elected REIT status for U.S. federal tax purposes.
