Truist Financial Corporation is a U.S. financial services company listed on the NYSE under the ticker TFC. As a common stock issuer in the Financials sector, it operates through two reportable segments: Consumer and Small Business Banking, and Wholesale Banking. The company provides a broad range of banking and trust services across the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic United States, including deposit accounts, lending, funding, asset management, brokerage, payments, mortgage-related services, and digital banking. Its wholesale and commercial activities also include treasury services, commercial lending, asset-based lending, leasing, merchant services, investment banking and capital markets, insurance premium finance, and wealth management/private banking. Formerly known as BB&T Corporation, the company adopted the Truist Financial Corporation name in December 2019. Truist was founded in 1872 and is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.
