Cherry Hill Mortgage Investment Corp. is a mortgage REIT focused on residential real estate finance in the United States. Through its operations, the company acquires, invests in, and manages residential mortgage assets, with activities organized across two segments: investments in residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) and investments in servicing-related assets. The trust has elected REIT status for U.S. federal tax purposes, which generally allows it to avoid federal corporate income tax if it distributes at least 90% of taxable income to stockholders. Incorporated in 2012, Cherry Hill Mortgage Investment Corp. is based in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, and its common stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker CHMI.
