PennyMac Mortgage Investment Trust Series A (PMT_PA)

PennyMac Mortgage Investment Trust Series A is a preferred security of PennyMac Mortgage Investment Trust, a mortgage REIT listed on the NYSE. Through its subsidiary, the trust primarily invests in residential mortgage-related assets in the United States. Its activities are organized across three segments: Credit Sensitive Strategies, Interest Rate Sensitive Strategies, and Correspondent Production. The first segment focuses on credit risk transfer arrangements and subordinate or credit-linked mortgage-backed securities. The second segment invests in mortgage servicing rights, agency and senior non-agency mortgage-backed securities, collateralized mortgage obligations, and related interest rate hedging activities. The Correspondent Production segment purchases, pools, and resells newly originated prime credit quality loans, either directly or in mortgage-backed securities form, with sales primarily directed to government-sponsored enterprises. The trust has elected REIT taxation status and, accordingly, is generally not subject to U.S. federal income tax on distributed REIT taxable income. Incorporated in 2009, it is headquartered in Westlake Village, California.
