Security National Financial Corporation is a Salt Lake City, Utah-based financial services company whose operations span life insurance, cemetery and mortuary services, and mortgage lending. Through its insurance business, the company sells and services life, annuity, and accident and health products, and it also works with reinsurers under treaty arrangements. Its death-care segment includes mortuaries and cemeteries located in Utah, California, and New Mexico, along with related funeral and burial merchandise and services. The mortgage segment focuses on originating and underwriting residential and commercial loans for new construction, existing homes, and real estate projects, mainly in Florida, Nevada, Texas, and Utah. The company was founded in 1965 and its common stock is listed on NASDAQ.
