Lincoln National Corporation is a financial services company that operates through subsidiaries focused on insurance and retirement solutions in the United States. Its business is organized into four segments: Life Insurance, Annuities, Group Protection, and Retirement Plan Services. The Life Insurance segment includes term, universal life, indexed universal life, variable universal life, linked-benefit universal life and variable universal life products, along with critical illness and long-term care riders. The Annuities segment provides variable, fixed, and registered index-linked annuities. Group Protection offers employer-oriented nonmedical insurance products and related administration services, while Retirement Plan Services serves defined contribution retirement plans with products and plan administration capabilities. Lincoln National distributes its offerings through intermediaries such as brokers, advisors, agents, planners, consultants, third-party administrators, and financial institutions. The company was founded in 1905 and is headquartered in Radnor, Pennsylvania.
