Old Republic International Corp. is a Chicago-based insurance company founded in 1923 and listed on the NYSE as common equity under the ticker ORI. Through its subsidiaries, the company provides insurance underwriting and related services in the United States and Canada. Its operations are organized into two segments: Specialty Insurance and Title Insurance. The Specialty Insurance segment writes a broad range of coverages, including accident and health, aviation, commercial auto, commercial property, cyber, environmental, excess and surplus, warranty-related products, liability lines, and workers’ compensation, along with financial indemnity coverages such as directors and officers, errors and omissions, fidelity, and surety. The Title Insurance segment focuses on protecting real estate purchasers and investors against title defects, liens, and encumbrances, while also providing escrow closing, construction disbursement, real estate information, and default management services.
